Thanks to the support of local businesses, we have even more fantastic things going on in your Runners Village – so bring along your spectators and they will have as fun day as you! The Runners Village is situated in the front meadow of Verulamium Park opposite Westminster Lodge.
Please see below details of 2016's Runners Village. Updated details for 2017 event will be updated as sponsors are confirmed but we only plan to make it bigger and better!
Our new stage area will be the central location for;
Instructors from Everyone Active will guide you through a fun warm up session to make sure you’re ready to race.Winners Presentation

There is more to running than putting one foot in front of the other. Our new improved wellbeing zone will help you jump-start your recovery and provide advice on your health and training.Massages - Provided by Perfect Balance Clinic

Visit Athlete in Mind to learn about the benefits of mental performance coaching to improve your running. Athena ladies running group will also be available to discuss session for women in St Albans.
We know half marathons can take a while, so we’ve got lots of family-friendly activities to keep your spectators busy, but you are of course welcome to join in before and after the race.

Local photography company Yokan will be opening a pop-up photo booth! So why not capture the memory of race day and bring your running buddies along for a pre-race snap or maybe gather your charity team for a proud medal holding pic! Main Charity Tent
Our main benefiting charity, The Hospice of St Francis, will be in the Runners Village to tell you about the wonderful work they do and how they will be using the event proceeds. You can also purchase your Official Event Raffle Tickets here and see the prizes on offer.
There will be a variety of catering options available in the Runners Village!

Fancy adding a bit of luxury to your St Albans Half Marathon Experience? Why not upgrade to a VIP ticket for just £20 and enjoy complimentary food and drink, private toilets, VIP bag drop and the best views of start and finish line. VIP tickets are available for both runners and spectators – Please see our website to book.
A dedicated information point will be in the center of the Runners Village to provide spectators with timing schedules, spectator points, expected time of arrival at key points on the course along with maps and information on local amenities.
A designated schools area has been provided for schools to set up a meeting point for their pupils and families. Schools can set up gazebos and hold family picnics whilst children take advantage of the activity area.
There are also various meeting points throughout the Runners Village so you can find your friend and family in the crowds.
