Runners Village

Thanks to the support of local businesses, we have even more fantastic things going on in your Runners Village – so bring along your spectators and they will have as fun day as you! The Runners Village is situated in the front meadow of Verulamium Park opposite Westminster Lodge.

Stage Area

The stage area, kindly sponsored by Gates of St Albans, will be the central location for;

Pre-race warm ups

Instructors from Everyone Active will guide you through a fun warm up session to make sure you’re ready to race.

Winners Presentation

Well-being Zone

There is more to running than putting one foot in front of the other. Our new improved wellbeing zone will help you jump-start your recovery and provide advice on your health and training.

Massages - Provided by Perfect Balance Clinic

Don’t forget to visit the Perfect Balance Massage tent to receive your free post-race massage! They can also provide injury advice if you have any post-race pains.

Stretching and Cool Down Tent - Provided by Fitness First

A relaxing place for runners to go to cool down and stretch after their race to help ease those post-race aches and pains.

Sports Zones

We know half marathons can take a while, so we’ve got lots of family-friendly activities to keep your spectators busy, but you are of course welcome to join in before and after the race.

Our main benefiting charity, Rennie Grove Hospice, will be in the Runners Village to tell you about the wonderful work they do and how they will be using the event proceeds.

If you have any questions or issues, please make your way to the information point in the centre of the Runners Village where a member of the events team will be able to help you.
